Easements Explained
Typically, conservation easements restrict certain development rights and protect natural wildlife habitat, streams, and other conservation values of the land. The Golden State Land Conservancy does not mandate any land management restrictions or controls in the conservation easement.
The primary goal of the land trust is to assist a landowner in translating their conservation objectives and requirements into a conservation easement, which will then supplement the protection of public trust resources while meeting regulatory requirements.
